Many private sector companies have also taken this as a motivation to decrease their diversity and equity. The employees with any connections to the D.E.I are assumed to be targeted by the mass firings. Moreover, the employees who have been fired conclude many assumptions have been made regarding their race, health and its connection to their ability to carry out a job well.

The US office of personnel management has also sent out an order to “cease disseminating information regarding the composition of the agency’s work force based on race, sex, color, religion or national origin.” Without this data, it will be hard to calculate the changes made by Mr.Trump’s term to the federal work force.

The national women’s law center published a report analysing the now deleted data, which concluded that the agencies employing the highest percentage of women and people of color had suffered from the deepest pay cuts.
